The Intel Enpirion ER6230QI is a 3A high efficiency synchronous DC-DC step down regulator in a 4 mm x 4 mm QFN package. This device integrates the MOSFET switches, small signal circuits, and compensation. The advanced circuit techniques and high switching frequency deliver high quality, ultra compact, non-isolated conversion with a total solution size of only 85mm2.
The ER6230QI features a light load mode for improved efficiency at light load currents. The light load mode can be disabled if PWM mode is preferred. The ER6230QI utilizes an external resistor divider to set the output voltage to any user defined value between 0.75V and (VIN ? VDROPOUT).
