Vishay / BC Components ENYCAP Evaluation Board is a fully transparent power management solution with a regulated 2W output and integrated power backup. It provides a DC/DC regulator with wide power input range from 4.0V to 20V and adjustable regulated output between 3.3V and 5.0V. The integrated supercapacitor charger and backup boost regulator is optimized for use with ENYCAP supercapacitors as a backup energy storage device. The LTC3355 power management unit provides the supercapacitor with a programmable constant charging current from 35mA to 600mA and regulated cut-off voltage of 1.8V to 3.2V. When the power input fails, the backup boost regulator supplies regulated output voltage until the charged energy of the supercapacitor is depleted. Power good and related control signals are available.

Vishay Hybrid Storage 196 HVC ENYCAP Capacitors are polarized energy storage capacitors with high capacity and energy density. The 196 HVC ENYCAP Caps feature voltage flexibility of 1.4V (single cell) to 2.8V / 4.2V / 5.6V / 7.0V / 8.4V (multiple cells) and are available in stacked through hole (STH, radial), surface mount flat (SMF) and lay flat configurations (LPC) with wire and connectors.
